Astra-Nomical turns real NASA exoplanet data into immersive 3D worlds. Users can explore distant planets, then use a multi-agent AI system to reason about the environmental pressures and scientifically plausible lifeforms that could evolve there.
Built with Astra
We used Astra across both development and runtime. In Codex, Astra helped us rapidly build and iterate on the full-stack app, including the NASA exoplanet data pipeline, deterministic environment simulation, Three.js-based 3D worlds, and interface. Inside the product, we used the Agents API to orchestrate a Planet Scientist, Evolution Agent, and Scientific Critic, which convert real planetary conditions into survival pressures, propose plausible adaptations, and then validate or revise them before presenting the final lifeform.
