Forma Drift
Forma Drift
FORMA turns cars into interactive 3D repair and customization experiences. A user can select a vehicle, open it into an exploded assembly view, inspect individual parts, upload or paste damage photos, and see which section of the car is affected. The long-term goal is photo-to-CAD for vehicle repair
Built with Astra
FORMA uses Astra to connect damage assessment, part selection and CAD concept generation. The server sends photos, conversation history, vehicle identity and available part families to Astra. Structured replies identify damage, confidence and side; validated mappings drive red highlights on individual Three.js parts. The research-and-generation route gives Astra web search to consult original equipment manufacturer (OEM) dimension sheets, repair measurements and part diagrams before generating fitted and exploded OpenSCAD concepts. The Corolla repair demo retrieves saved CAD instead of regenerating it. Prepared 3D assets contain independently selectable assemblies. Uploaded CAD filenames map to part identifiers; browser storage preserves modification records. This matching is deterministic. The scan workflow includes an iPhone LiDAR bridge. Scan-to-CAD reconstruction and dimensional checks currently use demo geometry and fixed constraints; document-derived mounting coordinates, automated fit validation and CAD-to-preview conversion remain planned. This truly is the best use of Astra for all categories
