Memory Portal
Memory Portal
Memory Portal transforms an old photograph into an explorable 3D memory. Users can investigate visual evidence, explore in browser or VR, ask spoken questions, request scene changes, and undo edits.
Built with Astra
GPT-6 Astra is the reconstruction intelligence behind Memory Portal. We send the uploaded photograph to Astra as real image input with high reasoning. It produces a structured interpretation of the camera, surfaces, objects, dimensions, materials, lighting, uncertainties, and property-level provenance. Astra then directs Blender through the Codex worker and Blender MCP, compares rendered checkpoints against the source photograph, critiques mismatches, and iteratively improves geometry, perspective, lighting, and composition. GPT-Image-2.5 supplies generated mesh textures, while Astra keeps those assets clearly distinguished from photographic evidence. During browser or VR exploration, GPT-Live delegates visual questions and complex scene edits back to Astra, grounded in the active revision, selected object, camera pose, and visible evidence. Changes are only announced as complete after the updated scene is validated and loaded.
