Built with Astra
We used Astra as our systems architect and engineering partner to turn hawker pain points into an MVP centred on Visual Understanding and GPT-Live-1. Astra helped design the photo-to-menu workflow: interpreting real menu photos into structured dishes, prices and listed options for merchant review. It also helped build the voice-ordering flow, connecting a customer’s spoken request to menu choices, a reviewable cart and a natural spoken readback. Across two builders, Astra helped define shared data contracts, coordinate frontend and backend work, and develop validation rules and test cases. Our core principle: AI interprets what it sees and hears; application code validates menu items and options and calculates authoritative prices.
